Uzbektelecom records net profit for 18.1bn soums in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom, national telecommunication operator of Uzbekistan, recorded net profit for 18.1 billion soums in nine months of 2008. Its profit comprised 23.8 billion soums, Uzbektelecom said.

Uzbek telecom operator used capital investments for 19 billion soums, largest share of which were own resources.

Revenue of Uzbektelecom made up 171.5 billion soums in January-September 2008 or 32% more year-on-year.
