Total speed of channels to international Internet network, organized by Uzbektelecom, rose 1.3 times in 2013 and currently makes up over 10 Gbps.

The company added that technical capabilities to access Internet network rose by 16 times compared to the beginning of 2011 and 2.12 times compared to the beginning of 2012.

The cost of 1 Mbps of internet channel for ISPs fell by 26% compared to the beginning of 2013, 41% compared to the beginning of 2012 and 2.7 times compared to the beginning of 2011 and now makes up US$312.58 per month.

Currently, Uzbektelecom has technical capabilities to increase speed of international Internet channels by four times if there is demand from local ISPs.

Uzbektelecom now works on further increasing technical capabilities to access Internet network up to 100 Gbps and reserving them on territorial principles, as well as to receive information resources from various global telehouses and resource owners.

The company is also working with other operators, providers and content developers on increasing number of national information resources.
