The Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information introduced new prices for universal telecommunication services.

Monthly subscription fee for use of home telephone in the city at minute payment system grew from 1,400 soums to 1,540 soums and at rural areas from 600 to 650 soums.

Subscribers will pay 2,035 soums (earlier – 1,850 soums) at subscription payment system in cities and 963 soums (875 soums) in rural areas.

Budget organizations will pay 2,050 soums at subscription payment system and 2,000 soums at minute payment system. Non-budget organizations will pay 3,900 soums at subscription payment system and 3,035 soums at minute payment system.

At the same time, the cost of communication over limit (180 minutes) for all categories of users increased from 5.2 soums to 6 soums.

Srvices of international calls now cost from 400 soums to 1,725 soums per minute and the price depands from country or region of call.

The company said that it also increase prices for sending telegrams within the country. The cost of one word at sending ordinary telegram increased from 22 soums to 25 soums for population and from 52 soums to 60 soums for enterprises. The cost of one work for urgent telegram increased from 108 soums to 123 soums. Telegraph fee for all types and categories of telegram rose from 108 soums to 123 soums.
