In the second half, Inileev changed tack and carried out several substitutions though the Uzbeks came under pressure and only two superb saves from custodian Ignatiy Nesterov helped them keep a clean slate.

While the Uzbeks hope for a winning start in the heat of Doha, the DPR Koreans will be hoping for a similar result when they meet the UAE in Abu Dhabi on 6 September.
