Uzbekneftegaz’s enterprises to produce goods for 6.939 trln. soums in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz national holding company (Uzbek Oil and Gas) is planning to produce goods for 6.939 trillion soums in 2010 against 5.996 trillion soums in 2009.

According to forecasts of Uzbekneftegaz, the volume of goods production will reach 7.201 trillion soums in 2011.

The industry’s export will grow from US$2.449 billion in 2009 to US$3.95 billion in 2010. The goods exports in the industry are expected at the level of US$4.482 billion in 2011.

Imports of Uzbekneftegaz’s enterprises will make up US$297.1 million in 2010 against US$309.01 million in 2009. In 2011, the imports in the industry will increase to US$420.1 million.

At the same time, the industry will increase purchase of products from local producers, which earlier imported. Uzbekneftegaz enterprises are planning to purchase import-replacing goods for 216.689 billion soums in 2010 and 303.3 billion soums in 2011 against 139.012 billion soums in 2009.

The company said that the share of import in produced goods in 2011 will make up 9.3% in 2011 against 11% in 2009.

Uzbekneftegaz national holding company was founded in 1998. The company was created as vertically integrated three-level holding company and it conducts all types of activities related to oil and gas industry.

Uzbekistan possesses high potential in oil-and-gas content – about 60% of territory of the country has potential for oil and gas. Currently, there are five main oil and gas regions – Ustyurt, Bukhara-Khiva, Gissar, Surkhandarya and Ferghana. Currently, Uzbekistan registered about 230 oil and gas deposits.
