The project envisages establishment of 1.04 million gas meters with distance control at low pressure networks for domestic sector in Tashkent and Tashkent region.

Within the project, it is planned to create system on management of accounting and billing of consumers. The project will be implemented within two years.

It is planned to complete preliminary feasibility study in the beginning of 2013 and the company plans to announce tender to purchase necessary equipment and meters in the second half of 2013.

The project will be financed due to own resources of Uzbekneftegaz. Later, it is planned to implement the project across Uzbekistan.

Currently, Uztransgaz manages about 120,000 low and mid pressure network and it will deliver gas to 4 million houses and about 80,000 wholesale consumers.
