Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A memorandum of understanding was signed between Uzbekneftegaz and the Kazakh company QazaqGaz on the joint implementation of projects aimed at developing the oil and gas industry and the exchange of experience. On the basis of the memorandum, a "Roadmap" was developed to expand cooperation, as well as measures were identified.

Negotiations between the working groups of the parties were held via videoconference. In it, the parties exchanged views on the results achieved in the coming years and ongoing projects.

In particular, the QazaqGaz recognized the projects implemented by Uzbekneftegaz, and also noted that the experience gained in training and advanced training of personnel will help the Kazakh company.

It should be noted that joint projects are a clear example of strengthening long-term cooperation between the oil and gas companies of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

During the discussion, QazaqGaz specialists noted that at present, together with foreign partners, they are studying the possibilities of implementing promising gas processing projects in order to effectively use the resources of the Koshagan field. The main goal is to produce value-added hydrocarbon products from gas, and the parties can jointly implement high-performance projects in the region.

During the videoconference, the parties agreed to mutually improve the skills of personnel and form working groups for gas processing and deep processing of hydrocarbons, as well as to start preliminary studies.

QazaqGaz is a vertically integrated national gas company operating along the entire chain from exploration and production to the sale of final products.
