Uzbekneftegaz and Mitsubishi Corporation logos
Chairperson of Uzbekneftegaz national holding company Ulugbek Nazarov has met a delegation of Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) led by Vice Executive President Masatoshi Nishizawa, the Uzbek company said on 14 October.

Uzbekneftegaz said that the Japanese side expressed its interest in strengthening its business in Central Asia.

The Japanese firm participated in several tenders, announced by Uzbekneftegaz, the Uzbek company underlined in a statement.

Representatives of Uzbekneftegaz expressed hope for broadening of partnership and boosting relations in other directions.

It was said that Uzbekneftegaz is interested in attraction high quality equipment and technologies as primary tasks of oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan is modernization of all technologies to achieve maximum productivity level. The Uzbek side said it is open for dialogue in these issues.

Mitsubishi Corporation is Japan’s largest general trading company with over 200 bases of operations in approximately 80 countries worldwide. Together with its over 500 group companies, MC employs a multinational workforce of approximately 60,000 people. Mitsubishi has long been engaged in business with customers around the world in virtually every industry, including energy, metals, machinery, chemicals, food and general merchandise.

The company’s Energy Business Group develops and invests in oil and gas projects. The group also deal in products relating to crude oil, petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), and carbon.
