Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to introduce market mechanisms in the fuel and energy sector” for end consumers of the republic from 1 October 2023, new tariffs for fuel and energy resources, including natural gas, were approved. According to which the tariff for the population remained unchanged.
In addition, this resolution provides for the approval by the Interdepartmental Tariff Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of new intra-industry tariffs for natural gas producers, the change of which will not affect the final tariffs for end consumers of natural gas and electricity, including the population.
In accordance with the decision of the Interdepartmental Tariff Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a new tariff for natural gas was approved, implemented by Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC within the republic.
Based on this, the tariff for 1 thousand cubic meter of natural gas sold by Uzbekneftegaz JSC, taking into account value added tax, is as follows:
for Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC - 320,000 soums;
for Uzbekistan GTL LLC - 23.5312 US dollars;
for UzGasTrade JSC - 450,000 soums.
In addition, the tariff for natural gas sold by Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC for Uzbekistan GTL LLC and UzGasTrade JSC for 1 thousand cubic meter, including value added tax, is US$23.5312 and 450,000 soums accordingly
At the same time, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Competition”, these new tariffs come into force after 15 days from the date of their official publication, that is, from 14 November, reports the information service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
