Uzbekiston Temir Yollari receives modern equipment for railway track facilities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Modern equipment was brought to Uzbekistan from Austria designed for straightening the railway track in the longitudinal and transverse profile and straightening. And also for ballast compaction. It is used in the construction, repair and maintenance of the track.

The purchase of two specialized straightening, tamping and straightening machines of the DUOMATIC 08-32 brand was carried out jointly with the Austrian company Plasser & Theurer.

“The new equipment will ensure the stability of the track on straight and curved (curved) rail sections, which will allow organizing the smooth movement of trains,” says Muslim Ortikbaev, deputy head of the Road Administration. - The main task of the technique is to level, raise the railway bed and compact the layer under the sleepers. Geometric parameters of the road are measured using a special device on the front of the car. The result is analyzed automatically and sends the data to the host computer of the machine and the mechanism starts its work. This technique is capable of fixing about 3000 sleepers per hour.

The driver’s cab of new technology is equipped with modern equipment, the work is computerized and automated.

“With the help of this technique, it will take only two hours to bring one kilometer of the railway into line,” explains Erkin Kenjaev, deputy head of the Track Facilities workshop. - The machine simultaneously performs alignment, straightening and tamping of the railway track. Works in all weather conditions. With the participation of engineers from Austria, training of our specialists and an increase in the qualification of employees of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" were organized.

According to experts, at present there are more than 20 units of such equipment in Uzbekistan, which is used for straightening railways in all regions of the republic.

Today the length of the railways of Uzbekistan has reached 7500 kilometers. The number of freight and passenger trains transported on these roads is increasing every year. Therefore, the first task facing the employees of the sector is to ensure traffic safety. In particular, in the current year alone, track facilities workers overhauled 250 km of railway tracks, and carried out medium and lifting repairs for 170 km.
