Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan youth weightlifting team won several medals at the World Championships in Peru.

Ruslan Rakhmatjonov, who competed in the weight category up to 81 kg, won two gold and one silver medal. In the snatch, he lifted 139 kg (which brought him silver), and in the clean and jerk he achieved a result of 172 kg (won gold). In the total amount of two exercises, he lifted 311 kg and won gold.

Marjona Abdumutalova, in the weight category up to 59 kg, won one silver and two bronze medals. In the snatch she lifted 82 kg and won bronze, and in the clean and jerk she lifted 100 kg, which brought her silver. In the total amount of two exercises, she achieved a result of 182 kg and became the owner of bronze.

Bekzod Gofirjonov, who also competed in the weight category up to 89 kg, won one silver and two bronze medals. In the snatch he lifted 141 kg and won bronze, and in the clean and jerk he lifted 183 kg and won silver. Based on the results of both exercises (324 kg), Gofirjonov won a bronze medal.
