Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Traffic Safety Service of Uzbekistan has announced the suspension of data exchange regarding fines between the state traffic system and the mobile app Road24.

Drivers are now advised to use the Safe Road YHXX app, through which they can register and check for fines directly.

In response, the Road24 team stated that their app continues to operate as usual. In a published statement, the developers criticized the actions of government bodies, comparing the situation to anti-competitive practices.

“They say the app has been disabled, but everything is functioning normally. What’s new? They just copied Road24. Our team knows how to create innovations,” the statement reads.

The developers also announced an upcoming update to the app with new features.

Additionally, the Road24 team criticized the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Traffic Safety Department: “Instead of providing equal opportunities for everyone as government agencies should, they allow those with stronger connections and relatives to have an advantage. The old times are back,” the developers wrote.
