Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 January, a new "Trade House of Uzbekistan" was opened in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, organized by the Association "Uzsanotkurilishmateriallari."

The Trade House aims to promote the export of construction materials between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and enhance trade relations between the business communities of the two countries.

The event was attended by Bakhtiyor Bobokulov, Chairman of the Association, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan, as well as entrepreneurs and media representatives. The participants had the opportunity to view the conditions and the exhibition of products displayed in the trade center and engage in B2B meetings.

Tajikistan is one of Uzbekistan’s key partners in the export of construction materials. In 2024, construction materials worth US$115 million were exported.

The main exports include metal products (US$34 million), dry building mixtures and cement (US$13 million), ceramic products (US$12 million), PVC profiles and plastic products (US$23 million), particle board (DPS) and MDF panels (US$11 million), and window products (US$7 million).

Negotiations are underway to expand the range of exported goods, including gas concrete blocks, thermal insulation plates, natural stones, and wallpaper.

It is also worth noting that the Association "Uzsanotkurilishmateriallari" has already opened similar trade houses in the capitals of Azerbaijan and Afghanistan—Baku and Kabul.
