Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 24 July, a presentation event showcasing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The event was organized by Rocket DMC Uzbekistan with the support of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB). More than 60 Turkish travel agencies and 10 local media outlets attended.
At the TÜRSAB association building, guests were introduced to Uzbek culture through national dishes, fruits, sweets, artisan crafts, cultural artifacts, colorful costumes, textiles, and suzani. This immersive experience provided participants with a taste of Uzbekistan's hospitality.
A highlight of the evening was an interactive presentation featuring a video about Uzbekistan's history, complemented by dance performances, acting, and the presentation of gift boxes. Inside the boxes, guests found elements of the country's culture and history related to the video footage.
Turkish tour operators received detailed information about Rocket DMC Uzbekistan's tour packages, learned about the advantages of traveling to Uzbekistan, and became acquainted with modern conditions for tourists.
The Silk Road Samarkand Tourist Center, now a popular destination for tourists from around the world, was introduced to the attendees. Tour operators also learned about the services offered by Air Samarkand and Air Marakanda, which provide high-quality airline and airport services.
“The goal of the event was to broadly showcase our company's and our country’s tourism opportunities to our colleagues from Türkiye. We hope that such fruitful meetings and presentations will significantly increase the number of Turkish tourists visiting Uzbekistan. With Air Samarkand, we aim to offer services that will make the Istanbul - Samarkand route more popular. The meeting exceeded all our expectations, and our Turkish colleagues suggested several ideas for developing pilgrimage tourism programs,” said Negina Mukhtarova, General Director of Rocket DMC Uzbekistan.
After the video presentation, B2B meetings and contact exchanges took place.
