Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 and 31 October 2019, the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was presented in the Russian cities of Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The event was co-organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Tourism Development of the Rostov Region, the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Visiting of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don and the representative office of Uzbekistan Airways.

Representatives of 7 Uzbek travel agencies, the Navbahor folklore and dance group of the Ministry of Culture, as well as two chefs from Tashkent arrived to participate in the presentation.

The events were attended by officials, representatives of trade union organizations, as well as more than 30 Russian travel agencies in each city.

At the end of the presentations, direct communication of representatives of travel agencies of the two countries in the “B2B” format took place. The parties established contacts and exchanged proposals and plans for cooperation in the tourism sector.

In both cities, the soloists of the Navbahor group performed in front of the guests.

These tourism events have become the second since the opening of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts in July.

During their stay in Krasnodar, Uzbek diplomats met with the leadership of the Kuban State University and students from Uzbekistan.
