Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Uzbekistan Tax Committee, led by First Deputy Chairman Mubin Mirzaev, participated in the conference "Zakat, Tax, and Customs Administration," held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mubin Mirzaev delivered a presentation on "Tax Administration in Developing Countries: Building Capacity and Enhancing Compliance." He detailed the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s tax administration and the results achieved, sharing the country’s experience with representatives from other nations.
The conference, organized by the Saudi Arabia Zakat, Tax, and Customs Administration, focused on the following key issues:
Development of a sustainable tax administration ecosystem;
Implementation of modern technologies and innovative management models;
Global challenges and opportunities for cooperation in overcoming issues related to tax and customs regulation.
The event gathered approximately 500 participants, including representatives from tax and customs authorities from over 50 countries, experts from international organizations, and members of the business community.
Conference participants emphasized the importance of international collaboration in developing effective approaches to tax and customs administration, especially in the context of digitalization and globalization of the global economy.
