Uzbekistan’s tax committee clarifies the process for earning 1% cashback
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has commented on the procedure for earning 1% cashback on purchases.
The topic of receiving cashback has been actively discussed in the “Consumer.Uz” community. In this regard, the Tax Committee reminded that after registering receipts in the Soliq mobile app, cashback is confirmed no earlier than the 25th of the following month.
Since January 1, 2024, a cashback limit has been established — no more than 225,000 soums per month. This corresponds to purchases totaling 22.5 million soums.
If a business, where the payment was made, has not submitted tax reports, has errors in them, or has outstanding tax liabilities, cashback will only be granted after all violations are resolved. For example, turnover tax reports for December (annual reports), as well as income tax and social tax declarations, must be submitted no later than 15 February. Until this time, cashback may remain in the confirmation stage.
Cashback will not be granted in the following cases:
If the receipt is registered more than 10 calendar days after the purchase.
For the purchase of cars, airline tickets, and train tickets.
For payments of utilities and communication services.
For receipts from self-employed individuals.
If the buyer is listed in the Register of Suspicious Buyers.
The Register of Suspicious Buyers includes individuals who register other people’s receipts or attempt to obtain cashback unlawfully.
If the purchase is paid via marketplaces or electronic payment systems, and the user’s phone number matches the one in the Soliq app, cashback is automatically credited.
Regarding online taxi aggregators, in most cases, their drivers are registered as self-employed, and their receipts do not entitle the purchaser to cashback.
To transfer confirmed cashback to a bank card, Face ID verification is required.
The Soliq app is regularly updated, so it is recommended to install the latest version promptly.
