Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan exported 6.4 thousand tons of pepper worth US$8.9 million in January–December 2024, according to the Statistics Agency.
The top five destinations for Uzbek pepper exports over the 12-month period were:
Kazakhstan – 2,326 tons
Kyrgyz Republic – 1,464 tons
Russia – 835 tons
Türkiye – 681 tons
USA – 324 tons
Other countries – 798.3 tons
Pepper exports play a key role in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, strengthening the country’s external trade relations. In recent years, there has been a steady increase in Uzbek agricultural exports, highlighting the high quality and growing demand for locally produced goods.
Analysts note that the demand for Uzbek pepper continues to rise due to its taste, affordability, and competitiveness in the global market. Experts predict that export volumes could increase in 2025, provided favorable conditions for farmers and exporters are maintained.
Further development of logistics and international partnerships is expected to boost Uzbek pepper exports, enhancing the country’s position in the global spice and agricultural markets.
