Uzbekistan’s insurance premiums reached 9.8 trillion soums in 2024
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, around 10 million insurance contracts were signed in Uzbekistan, according to the National Agency for Perspective Projects.
The agency reports that total insurance premiums reached 9.8 trillion soums, marking a 21% increase compared to 2023. Insurance payouts for the year amounted to 2.2 trillion soums, reflecting a 9% rise from the previous year.
The total assets of insurance companies exceeded 11.8 trillion soums, growing by 24.9% year-on-year.
Throughout the year, 4,648 insurance-related appeals were reviewed, with 2,193 cases resolved, resulting in insurance compensation payments totaling 34.6 billion soums.
