In the reporting period consumer goods were produced for 10.568 trillion soums (+11.4% year-on-year), of which food products were produced at the amount of 4.65 trillion soums (+14.2% year-on-year) and non-food products – at the amount of 5.918 trillion soums (+9.4% year-on-year).
Fuel industry (17.3% of total industrial output), machinery and metal processing (16.2%), food industry (13.7%) and light industry (12.6%) accounted largest share in total industrial production of Uzbekistan in the reporting period.
At the same time, the share of fuel industry fell by 2 percentage point year-on-year. Share of light industry grew by 0.2 percentage points and food industry by 0.9 percentage points, the committee said.
In particular, fuel industry produced goods for 5.164 trillion soums (+0.5), machinery and metal processing – 4.84 trillion soums (+11.8%), light industry – 3.773 trillion soums (+4.4%) and food industry – 4.114 trillion soums (+14.7%).
