Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution titled “On Measures for Implementing the ‘Social Card’ System to Support the Population.”

According to the document, the issuance and provision of social cards will be carried out by resident commercial banks acting as financial agents.

Under this program, all citizens will initially be issued an electronic social card, which will be available for immediate use. Additionally, citizens may request a physical social card in the form of a bank card if they wish.

Applications for the issuance of social cards can be submitted through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz), the "Social Card" mobile application, or the "Inson" Social Services Centers. In specific cases, applications can also be filed through social workers or directly via the financial agent.

To ensure the successful implementation of the social card system and the stable operation of the information system and the "Social Card" mobile application, round-the-clock technical support will be provided by the payment organization servicing the card starting from 1 January 2025.

Beginning from 1 February 2025, an information and support service with the short number "1070" and a 24/7 hotline will be launched in test mode by the Agency to address issues related to the issuance and use of social cards promptly.
