Non-governmental sector produced 80.8% of GDP in the reporting period compared to 78.6% in the same period of 2009. The share of government sector fell from 21.4% in January-September 2008 to 19.2% in January-September 2009.
Representatives of small businesses produced 45.1% of Uzbekistan’s GDP and small enterprises and microfirms produced 26.5% of GDP.
Tashkent city (up 12.6%), Namangan region (10.9%), Samarkand region (9.4%), Andijan region (9.3%) and Kashkadarya region (8.2%) registered the largest growth of gross regional product.
