Uzbekistan’s gas exports surge by 57% despite decline in production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–February of this year, the export value of gas from Uzbekistan reached US$42 million, which is 57.3% higher compared to the same period last year, according to the National Committee on Statistics.
During the first two months of 2025, the country produced over 7.3 billion cubic meters of gas, 4% less than the previous year. The volume of fuel imports during this period fell to 35.8 million dollars.
The production of gas condensate also declined, dropping from 214.7 thousand tons last year to 192.6 thousand tons this year.
