Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Albania, with residence in Vienna, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, presented his credentials to the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj. This was reported by the Dunyo news agency.
Following the official ceremony held at the residence of the Albanian head of state, the parties held talks on strengthening bilateral relations. Particular attention was given to expanding cooperation in trade, economy, culture, and tourism.
President Bajram Begaj praised the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, highlighting their significant achievements. Both sides expressed their commitment to elevating Uzbek-Albanian relations to a new level.
Bakhtiyor Ibragimov was accredited as ambassador in November 2023 and had previously presented his credentials to Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen. In October of the same year, he also received accreditation to several international organizations based in Vienna, including the OSCE, UNODC, CTBTO, IAEA, and other UN structures.
