Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data, in January-December 2024, enterprises in Uzbekistan produced industrial goods worth 885.8 trillion soums, with the physical volume index of industrial production compared to the same period in 2023 standing at 106.8%. This was reported by the Statistics Agency.

Currently, there are 55.6 thousand industrial enterprises operating in the country. Of these, 10.7 thousand (19.2% of the total number of active enterprises) are located in Tashkent city, 6.2 thousand (11.2%) in Tashkent region, 5.6 thousand (10.1%) in Ferghana region, 4.7 thousand (8.5%) in Samarkand region, and 4.4 thousand (7.8%) in Andijan region.

An analysis of the differentiation of industrial production per capita for January-December 2024 revealed a significant excess over the national average (23,830.6 thousand soums) in Navoi region (133,706.3 thousand soums), Tashkent city (55,499.8 thousand soums), and Tashkent region (45,168.2 thousand soums).

In the production structure, the highest share is held by the manufacturing industry enterprises (85.1%), with a production volume of 753.6 trillion soums.

In January-December 2024, the largest share of total industrial production in the republic came from Tashkent city (19.3%), Navoi region (16.4%), Tashkent region (15.7%), Andijan region (10.2%), Ferghana region (5.4%), and Samarkand region (5.2%).

Compared to the same period in 2023, the average industrial production indicators across the republic increased, particularly in the Surkhandarya (108.9%) and Namangan (108.3%) regions, Khorezm and Navoi (108.2%) regions, as well as Tashkent city (108.1%).

The production volume of goods by mining enterprises and quarrying companies in January-December 2024 was 67.8 trillion soums, or 7.6% of the total industrial output.

In January-December 2024, manufacturing enterprises produced goods worth 753.6 trillion soums, or 85.1% of the total industrial output.

Within the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech sectors was 1.3% (compared to 1.5% in January-December 2023), medium-high-tech sectors accounted for 22.2% (24.6%), medium-low-tech sectors represented 37.7% (37.5%), and low-tech sectors made up 38.8% (36.4%).

The volume of manufacturing industries was dominated by enterprises producing, repairing, and installing machinery and equipment, manufacturing motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers, and other finished metal products, which accounted for 20.8% (the physical volume index for January-December 2023 was 106.5%). The metallurgy industry accounted for 22.7% (physical volume index for January-December 2023 was 106.3%), and enterprises producing textiles, clothing, and leather products made up 16.9% (physical volume index for January-December 2023 was 110.6%).

The share of enterprises producing food products, beverages, and tobacco products in the manufacturing sector was 17.7% (physical volume index for January-December 2023 was 104.1%), while enterprises producing chemical products, rubber, and plastic items accounted for 7.7% (physical volume index for January-December 2023 was 108.1%).

In January-December 2024, the republic produced 1,282.1 thousand tons of automotive gasoline (a decrease of 3.8% compared to the corresponding period in 2023), 616.7 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 3.3%), 230.6 million liters of beer (a decrease of 1.7%), and 996.3 thousand tons of wheat and spelt flour (a decrease of 6.2%).

In January-December 2024, large enterprises in the republic produced 3,634 trucks (an increase of 2.2% compared to the same period in 2023).

In January-December 2024, large enterprises in the republic produced 11,525,000 bumpers (an increase of 27.8% compared to the same period in 2023).
