Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8-9 October 2024, the leadership of the "Uzatom" Agency took part in the International Seminar on Civil Nuclear Energy held in Knoxville, USA.

The seminar focused on examples of international cooperation in the implementation of small modular reactor (SMR) technologies, as well as discussions on the nuclear fuel cycle and the use of nuclear energy for industrial purposes, including data centers and hydrogen production.

During the event, meetings were held with representatives of American companies, who showcased their developments and capabilities in the field of nuclear technology.

The seminar concluded with a panel session discussing the role of U.S. universities and national laboratories in supporting nuclear programs for the participating countries.

The event was organized by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to discuss strategies for advancing nuclear projects and strengthening cooperation between countries actively developing nuclear energy.
