Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 March 2025, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCIU) Davron Vakhabov met with Suma Chakrabarti, Presidential Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Governance, and International Cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by international experts Jonathan Charles and Marie-Anne Birken.

The discussions focused on attracting investments and fostering a business-friendly environment for both domestic and foreign investors. Special attention was given to supporting new business projects, strengthening cooperation with international financial institutions, and developing concrete strategies to enhance Uzbekistan’s investment appeal.

The parties also addressed mechanisms for expanding Uzbekistan’s exports to new global markets, supporting export-oriented enterprises, improving logistics infrastructure, and simplifying export procedures.

A separate topic was the Tashkent International Commercial Court (TICC), which was established to resolve commercial disputes involving foreign companies and ensure the implementation of international treaties and conventions.

Following the discussions, both sides agreed to continue cooperation in attracting investments, increasing export volumes, and further developing the TICC’s operations.
