Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Austrian Economic Chamber Aim for New Level of Partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an official working visit to Vienna, a delegation led by First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davronbek Kurbanov, met with Stefan Stanteyski, Director of the Department for Relations with Asian Countries of the Austrian Economic Chamber.
Founded in 1839, the Austrian Economic Chamber requires all business entities in the country to be members. Currently, it represents over 600,000 businesses with an annual turnover of US$521 billion. The organization maintains trade offices in more than 100 countries and opened its own representation in Uzbekistan in 2024.
During the meeting, the parties discussed advancing bilateral cooperation to a new level. In particular, Stefan Stanteyski proposed opening a representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Austria and holding a business forum “Uzbekistan–Austria” in Vienna.
The discussion also highlighted promising areas for cooperation, including further development of economic, trade, and investment ties, as well as joint implementation of startup projects.
The meeting took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere, with both sides agreeing to maintain ongoing dialogue and practical cooperation to achieve the set goals.
