Uzbekistan’s Central Bank registers three new microfinance organizations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank has registered three new microfinance organizations, the regulator's press service reported.
By decision of the Central Bank’s board, Barakala Microfinance, Enterprise Finance, and Finanza have been added to the official register of microfinance institutions.
As of the end of February, Uzbekistan had 116 registered microfinance organizations. Last month alone, 11 companies received licenses, eight of which were established by state-owned banks. In comparison, only 16 microfinance organizations were registered throughout the entire year of 2024.
