Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In June 2024, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan emerged as one of the leading gold buyers on the global market.
According to data from the World Gold Council, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan purchased 9 tons of gold in June, placing it alongside the Reserve Bank of India, which also acquired 9 tons.
The third-largest buyer was the National Bank of Poland, which purchased 4 tons of gold in June.
Singapore recorded the highest volume of gold sales, having sold 12 tons. The Central Bank of Kazakhstan ranked second in sales with 6 tons.
The total volume of gold purchases in June amounted to 31 tons, while sales reached 18 tons.
