Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national boxing team has won six medals at the Youth World Boxing Championships.
In the 48 kg weight category, Saifiddin Sobirov claimed the world champion title by defeating Biloakhibasi Nazarov from Azerbaijan.
In the 86 kg category, Akmaljon Isroilov also won the championship, beating Kamil Jamaev from Russia.
Meanwhile, Jasmin Tokhirova (-48 kg), Rukhshona Parpiyeva (-81 kg), Jafarbek Shakhbozov (-75 kg), and Shakhzod Polvonov (+92 kg) took silver medals after close losses in their final bouts.
On 3 November, four more Uzbek boxers will compete in their respective finals.
