The committee said that Uzbekistan produced 6.569 million tonnes of grain crops, 2.425 million tonnes of cotton (+11.6%) and 4.871 million tonnes of vegetables (+11%).
Production of potato grew by 10.6% to 1.37 million tonnes, melons and gourds by 9% to 933,400 tonnes and fruits – by 12% to 723,200 tonnes.
Uzbekistan produced 1.133 million tonnes of meat (+6.9), 4.91 million tonnes of milk (+7.2%) and 2.563 billion units of eggs (+13%) in nine months of 2011.
In nine months of 2011, 416 greenhouses with total area of 164.1 hectares were created and trees were planted at 14,600 hectares, including intensive gardens at 2,500 hectares and vineyards at 5,300 hectares.
Within measures on strengthening and developing material-technical base of storing fruit products, some 38 new refrigerator chambers with the capacity of 45,900 tonnes and 17 refrigerator chambers with the capacity of 10,500 tonnes were modernized.
In nine months of 2011, Uzbekistan created 408 farms with 12,700 cattle and 608 poultry farms with 2.5 million birds, 624 fish farms at 2,379 hectares of artificial water reservoirs.
The commercial banks of Uzbekistan issued loans for 48.8 billion soums to purchase cattle in the reporting period.
In the result of the adopted measures, number of cattle reached 9.428 million heads or grew by 6% year-on-year, the committee said.
The committee said some 124 enterprises on processing agruclture goods were launched, of which 39 enterprises on processing of meat (7,000 tonnes a year), 58 enterprises on processing of milk (25,100 tonnes) and 27 enterprises on processing fruits and vegetables (8,800 tonnes), as well as 56 service points on accepting milk.
