Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 June, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Norkulov met with representatives of the World Bank delegation led by the head of the practice on urban development, disaster risk management, sustainability and land resources in the Europe and Central Asia region, Christophe Pusch.
During the meeting, the parties discussed projects being developed jointly, in particular, the development of cities and their infrastructure in the regions (improving water supply, roads, creating new jobs, etc.), increasing the efficiency of cities and ensuring economic growth by supporting urbanization processes, as well as project financing mechanisms.
In addition, during the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the contribution of projects to the processes of sustainable economic development, as well as on projects formed in the field of development of the use of land resources, in particular in the field of efficient land use and cadastre, as well as on their results.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop and expand cooperation on the above issues.
