Uzbekistan women’s U-16 qualifies to Asian Championship

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan women’s U-16 qualified to finals of the AFC U-17 Championship after topping Group B in qualification round.

Uzbekistan participated at the AFC U-17 Championship qualification round in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Uzbekistan claimed a 6-0 victory over Sri Lanka and 3-0 win over Iran to book its place in the AFC U-17 Championship.

In last match of the Group B, Uzbekistan played a 1-1 draw with India.

Uzbekistan collected seven points in three matches and claimed top place in group. After a 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka, Iran collected six points to book second place and tickets to the AFC U-17 Championship.

AFC U-17 Championship will be held in China in November 2013. Uzbekistan, Iran, Jordan, Bahrain, Australia, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Guam, Japan, North Korea and South Korea will participate at the tournament.
