Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 13 to 16 October, the FIRST Global Challenge World Robotics Championship was held in Geneva, Switzerland, where a team from Uzbekistan took part.
The FIRST Global Challenge is an annual Olympic-style robotics competition organized by the International First Committee Association, founded by Dean Kamen in 2016.
Uzbekistan was represented at the competition by a team of 5 participants: Muhammad Matchonov and Muhammad Soliev (IT Park), Azamat Ruziev and Shukurullo Sodikov (Robots & Me), Asadbek Abdullayev (Astrum IT-Academy), as well as mentors - Azamat Karakhanov (IT Park) and Safina Teshabaeva (Astrum IT-Academy).
According to the results of the championship, our team took 5th place, which by now is the best result of performance at this tournament in the history of Uzbekistan. In addition, our contestants won the Best Skills nomination initiated by Yale University.
