Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The 21st Zhautykov International Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics was held in Astana from January 13 to 17.

Nearly 700 students from 20 countries participated in the competition.

Uzbekistan’s national team achieved outstanding results, securing a total of 19 medals: two gold, five silver, and 12 bronze.

The gold medalists were Asadbek Bobokulov, an 11th-grade student at the "Artel" Technical School, and Elbek Zokhidjonov, a 10th-grade student at the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Specialized School of Information Technology.

According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, Uzbekistan’s national team won 14 medals at the Olympiad last year.
