Uzbekistan wants to win all three points against Qatar - Kasimov
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Qatar coach Paulo Autuori is sweating on the fitness of striker Yusef Ahmed and defenders Bilal Mohammed and Meshal Mubarak ahead of Tuesday's final round 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan while defender Ibrahim Majed is ruled out through suspension.

Qatar have made a solid start to their final round campaign after picking up four points from their opening three games in June after beating Lebanon and drawing with Iran either side of a home defeat by Korea Republic.

Ahmed had opened the scoring for Qatar against Korea before the AFC Asian Cup semi-finalists hit back to post a 4-1 win, but the Al Sadd striker could miss the visit of Group A strugglers Uzbekistan along with Mohammed and Mubarak with the trio struggling to recover from injury.

But with Majed suspended having been ever-present at the start of the final round campaign, Autuori does have Wesam Rizik available after the midfielder missed the goalless draw with Iran due to suspension.

"The match against Uzbekistan will not be easy especially because our opponents are strong and they are a good team," said Autuori, who saw his side warm-up for the visit of Uzbekistan by recording 1-1 draws against both Jordan and Oman recently.

"We must play well in order to get a good win which will definitely give us a big push in our remaining campaign in the qualifiers," continued the Brazilian (pictured).

"We must take advantage from playing at home in front of our fans. I urge our fans to show up in big numbers for the match against Uzbekistan.

"We must have full concentration against Uzbekistan for the entire 90 minutes in order to get the three points."

AFC Asian Cup 2011 semi-finalists Uzbekistan, meanwhile, travel to Al Sadd Stadium still in search of their first win of the final round having lost to Iran before drawing with Lebanon and Korea Republic.

With only two teams guaranteed qualification for Brazil 2014 from Group A, Uzbekistan currently sit five points adrift of the table-topping Koreans but crucially just two points behind Iran, Qatar and Lebanon although coach Mirdjalal Kasimov knows his side cannot afford to drop any more points.

"We have prepared well as it is an important match for the two teams. We have watched many of Qatar's matches and we will try to use the weaknesses that they have in our favour and hopefully we can convert our chances into goals to get our first win," said Kasimov, who recently guided Uzbekistan champions Bunyodkor to the semi-finals of the 2012 AFC Champions League.

"Qatar are a strong team and they will try to take advantage of playing at home in front of their fans. However, our players will give their best to win the match and we are capable of doing that as our aim is to finish second in the group."

Uzbekistan warmed up for the match with a 2-2 draw against the United Arab Emirates on Friday, with Sanjar Tursunov and Server Djeparov finding the net in Dubai.
