The report said the Taiwan administration adopted on 1 February the decision to hold referendum on accession to the UN under name of Taiwan.

It added that the referendum will not change international status of Taiwan. The referendum can intensify international tension in Taiwan Bay and affect negatively to stability of the Asian region.

“In this connection, the Republic of Uzbekistan, once more confirming adherence to “one China” policy, oppose independence of Taiwan and calls to give up plans to hold referendum on accession to the UN,” the report said.
