Uzbekistan increased output of edible alcohol by 8.2% to 344,600 decilitres and technical alcohol by 3.3% to 2,600 decilitres. Rectified alcohol production aggregated to 70,300 decilitres, which is up 2.8% year-on-year. Uzbekistan produces part of raw alcohol from imported raw materials.
The production of vodka and alcoholic beverage products also grew by 6.7% to 722,400 decilitres. Cognac’s production rose by 15.6% to 2,800 decilitres and grape wine fell by 8.7% to 119,300 decilitres.
In the reporting period, Uzbekistan produced 4,100 decelitres of champagne (down 1.35 times) and 547,900 decelitres of beer (up 21.6%).
Production of raw ethyl alcohol in Uzbekistan grew by 9.4% year-on-year in 2009 to 5.124 million deciliters.
