Uzbekistan and Ukraine signed agreement on cooperation in emergency prevention and clean-up operations on Thursday, 26 April.

The agreement should thereby regulate data exchange between the countries in the emergencies prevention area, including mechanisms for providing assistance in case of emergencies in Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Signing of the agreement is symbolical for both countries. On 26 April 1966, Tashkent experienced distractive earthquake, and on 26 April 1986 the Chornobyl NPP accident took place in Ukraine.
