Uzbekistan U-23 starts preparation to crucial round of Olympic qualifiers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan U-23 started preparations to the crucial round of 2012 London Olympic Games, which will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) said.

On 18 March, the team gathered in Tashkent. Vadim Abramov called 23 players to the team, the federation said.

Injured goalkeeper Sanjar Quvvatov will not be able to help the team. Vadim Abramov called Akbar Turaev, Eldorberk Suyunov and Victor Mocahlov.

Pakhtakor defender Akbar Ismatullaev returned to Uzbekistan U-23 after he treated his injury.

Nasaf layers Eldorbek Suyunov, Sherzod A’zamov and Fazir Musaev will join team after the match of Karshi club in the AFC Champions League against Iran’s Esteghlal on 20 March.

Uzbekistan U-23 will participate in last Asian qualification round of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Uzbekistan will play against Oman and Syria and the winner will receive right to play against Senegal for place in the Olympic Games.
