Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan U-20 national football team claimed victory in a friendly tournament in China. Over the course of the tournament, Uzbekistan played three matches and earned 7 points.

In their first match, Uzbekistan defeated Malaysia 2-0. A similar 2-0 victory followed against Vietnam in the next match. In the final game, Uzbekistan played to a 0-0 draw against China.

The team, led by Farhod Nishanov, now heads to Taipei, Taiwan, to participate in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Uzbekistan will face Cambodia on 23 September, Nepal on 25 September, and Chinese Taipei on 27 September. Their final group stage match will be against Bahrain.
