Ahmadjon Musaev’s side dominated the match and claimed a 2-0 victory, Uzbekistan Football Federation said.

Leaders of Uzbekistan U-20 Igor Sergeev, Vladimir Kozak and Jamshid Iskanderov missed the match as Pakhtakor will play in the AFC Champions League.

Uzbekistan opened the score on 33 minutes through efforts of Abdul Aziz Yusupov.

In the second half, Portugal created several chances to score, but Uzbekistan scored the second goal in the match. Abbosbek Mahstaliev netted the goal.

Uzbekistan will play the second friendly match against Portugal on 25 April.

Uzbekistan U-20 is preparing to the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Turkey this summer. Uzbekistan will face New Zealand, Croatia and Uruguay.
