Substitute Andrey Sidorov who came on the pitch on 67 minutes scored the goal 10 minutes later.
Turkmenistan, who opened their campaign with a 2-1 win over Nepal on Friday, will face hosts Qatar on Tuesday while Uzbekistan take on India on Thursday.
