Uzbekistan Football Federation said that the matches will be held at JAR stadium on 18, 20 and 22 August. The matches will kick off at 17:00.

Uzbekistan U-17 and Iran U-17 already played two matches with each other. In 2011, they faced each other at the friendly tournament in Astana. The match ended with a 1-1 draw.

A year later, Uzbekistan faced Iran in semifinals of the AFC U-16 Championship. Uzbekistan clinched a 3-2 victory to advance to the final. Uzbekistan outplayed Japan to claim the Asian continental trophy.

Both Uzbekistan and Iran are preparing to the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in the UAE from 17 October to 8 November. The draw ceremony of the tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi on 26 August.
