The federation said that it sent official letter to the AFC to notify that Uzbekistan U-14 will not participate in the tournament, which will be held on 2-8 April 2013. Uzbekistan was in group C along with Nepal, Tajikistan, Butane, Maldives and Afghanistan.

Askar Talipdjanov, director of Uzbekistan national teams’ center, said that the coaches decided not to participate in the tournament. He added that Uzbekistan would play only for places in the AFC U-14 Championship and it would not be useful for team. He also complained about conditions created to participants of the tournament.

However, Uzbekistan U-14 will continue to work and Timur Alimkhodjaev will prepare player for future.
