Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 August, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism, Umid Shadiev, met with Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in the tourism sector between the two countries, addressing key issues and directives raised during discussions with the head of state.

The Turkish side was provided with detailed information on the results and priority areas of extensive tourism reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years.

Both parties emphasized the presence of all necessary conditions and significant opportunities for developing tourism cooperation.

It is worth noting that on 6 June 2024, during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Türkiye, a Protocol was signed to further expand cooperation in tourism between the Committee for Tourism and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
