Uzbekistan, Turkey discuss cooperation prospects in security and military education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 October, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar and consultants on internal and security issues at the Embassy, Colonel Mustafa Avji and Chief of Security of the 1st degree Murat Karausta visited and got acquainted with activities and educational process of the University of Public Safety and the Specialized Training Center of the National Guard.

The guests highly appreciated the conditions and quality of the educational process in educational institutions, and also expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation in the field of training and retraining of military personnel.

Within the framework of the visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar met with the Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan Major General R. Juraev at the Central Office of the National Guard.

From the Uzbek side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Commander Colonel S. Mamayusupov and other leaders of the National Guard.

During the talks, the Ambassador noted with satisfaction that friendly relations between the two fraternal countries are rapidly developing in all spheres of life, and expressed readiness to further develop bilateral friendly cooperation between the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the Gendarmerie of Turkey.

Following the meeting, held in a friendly and warm atmosphere, the parties agreed to continue the interagency dialogue in the field of security and military education.
