Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The launch of step-by-step trading information platform Uzbekistan Trade Info was held in Tashkent.

This platform was implemented by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the technical support of the International Trade Center and financial support from the European Union.

The online tool will help provide free and permanent access to information related to cross-border trade, reduce time and costs for entrepreneurs. It will also enable local businesses to increase their trade competitiveness in international markets.

As part of the event, a presentation of the trade information platform Uzbekistan Trade Info was held, as well as interactive sessions on using the potential of the platform to strengthen the integration of Uzbekistan and Central Asia into international markets.

The team, led by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, was created based on international best practices to ensure that the platform is constantly updated in order to provide specialized and sustainable assistance to entrepreneurs.

The platform was launched as part of the 4-year Ready4Trade - Central Asia project funded by the European Union. A regional project aimed at expanding trade relations supports the development of intra-regional and international trade in the five countries of Central Asia, such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Overall, the project aims to increase the transparency of cross-border regulations, remove regulatory and procedural barriers to trade, strengthen the ability of businesses to comply with trade formalities and standards, and improve cross-border e-commerce.
