Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of enhancing interaction with Japanese partners, meetings were held in the format of a video conference with representatives of Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation. During the conversation, the sides discussed the implementation of current and prospective projects in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).

Tomonori Nakamura, head of the ICT business department at Toyota Tsusho Corporation, informed about the readiness of Japanese specialists to visit Tashkent as soon as possible to accelerate the implementation of the project, carried out jointly with the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications and Uzbektelecom. T. Nakamura also expressed interest in working out new investment projects, including with the attraction of funds from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.

Managing Director of Toyota Central Asia FZE (exclusive distributor of Toyota Motors in the region) Shuhei Onoe presented the company’s activities in Uzbekistan and plans to expand its presence in the country’s market.

As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached on the continuation of joint work, including in the form of a video conference, to accelerate the implementation of joint current and promising projects.
